Baamboozle Create educational games

The home page welcomes users with a dynamic and modern interface, designed to enhance the fun aspect of learning from the very first glance.

On the home page, click "Join for free" and proceed with registration or login by entering your email address and password..

The dashboard, at the top left, offers a main menu with the following sections:

• My Library: your personal area for saving games, folders, favorites (Likes), and following authors;
• Games: a search engine for exploring community-created content. You can filter results by grammatical or lexical topics;
• News & Blog: sections dedicated to feature updates and sharing methodological ideas for teaching;
• Class Pin: join a teacher-created class, a Premium feature.

Creating a game

The following is the screen for creating a quiz.

The process for creating a custom quiz involves the following steps:

1. go to the My Library section and select the "+" symbol next to "Game";
2. assign a title and detailed description to make it easier for other teachers to find, optionally adding a cover image and setting the quiz to public;
3. click "Make Game";

You will see two main sections:

• Manual: allows you to create questions manually and customize them. You can insert the question, the correct answer, an optional image, and the associated score based on the difficulty level. Using the Import button, you can also import questions and answers already created from various sources, such as ChatGPT, Quizlet Export, Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.
• URL: allows you to import an existing quiz via a web link, such as from Quizlet or Kahoot.

In "manual" mode, after completing each question, you must save it to add it to the list. It is possibile define both open-ended question and multiple choice questions.

Using the Import button, you can also import questions and answers you've already created from various sources, such as ChatGPT, Quizlet Export, Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.

Finally, proceed to definitively save the quiz.

Viewing Options and Game Mode

The following screen appears after selecting a game from your library.

When selecting a game from the library, the interface displays a preview screen with four main controls:

• Play: start the interactive game session for the class;
• Study: allows independent consultation of questions, verification of answers and monitoring of the accuracy percentage;
• Slideshow: view questions in full screen mode, showing the corresponding answer by double-clicking;.
• Share: manages game sharing via link, numeric code or direct integration with platforms such as Google Classroom.

Comparing Classroom Game Modes

The game modes are illustrated below, comparing them according to the plans:

• bamboozler (Free & Premium): The standard number- or picture-based grid game, where teams select boxes and answer questions;
• classic Junior: A simplified quiz variation;
• memory (Premium): A matching activity based on flipping tiles;
• connect 4 (Premium): A mode where teams place tokens in columns by answering correctly to complete a sequence of four.
