Presentation
The following is the home screen of OpenAI where you can proceed to use DALL-E by clicking on ’Try DALL-E.

The following is the dashboard of your account where you can enter the request in the central text box. After typing the desired instructions, you need to press the ’Generate’ button. However, it’s important to note that image generation will only take place after the purchase of credits. The minimum available package offers 115 credits at a cost of $15.

Once the image has been generated, you can, on the right, select and view additional versions created by artificial intelligence. These variants are based on the same initial description, thus providing different interpretations or styles of the generated image.

In case credits are not available, scrolling down allows you to explore examples of images created by other users. To view the initial description provided by them, simply hover the cursor over the desired image.

To acquire additional credits, you need to click on the ’Buy Credits’ link and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. Alternatively, by clicking on the user icon in the top right corner, you can access the experimental ’Outpainting’ feature.

In this section, subject to the availability of credits, you can make modifications to pre-existing images, even those uploaded independently. Editing options include deleting an object in the original image, inserting new elements into the image, and expanding the visual field. These operations can be performed through intuitive tools that respond to selection, deletion, and/or text insertion commands.

DALL-E 2 can be used in an educational context to: generate captivating and personalized images for presentations, handouts, or educational material; facilitate, through visual presentation, the understanding and memorization of topics by students; encourage student creativity through projects involving the generation and modification of images; create personalized visual resources to adapt to the diverse learning styles of students; make abstract concepts more tangible.
