Enter all the desired criteria: the apps that satisfy them all will be searched; if a criterion is specified multiple times, only the last occurrence will be considered.
The second phase consist in signing up choosing one of the proposed modalities: “Teacher” or “Student” selecting the item “Sign up”. You can sign up with your Google account, Edmodo or inserting your username and a password you prefer ( for the student) and an email with the addition of a password (for the teacher), like shown in the following image.
At this point you can officially start to use the contents of the app; if you sign up as a teacher (first image) you have the possibility to create class groups with which you want to use the app with and use videos present in different sites, personalizing as you like; or you can create your own video from the beginning. If you are a student (second image) it is necessary to own the code class to be part of a specific group.
A significative page is the one of the creation and modification of the receptive video which offers different original possibilities to personalize the contents. EDpuzzle allows you to: Cut some parts of the videos to maintain only the ones you’re interested in (symbol of the scissors) Substitute the sound of the entire video with your own voice or, if the video has only images, add the description with your own words (symbol of the microphone) Add audio notes in whichever part of the multimedial contents ( symbol of the loudspeaker) Enrich the lesson with different typology of questions (with open question or multiple) and various comments to guide the students and verify the comprehension of the proposed contents At the end is possible to save the video deciding to share it with whom you desire, or assign it to a class as homework.
The system allows you also to monitor the progress of the work done by the students checking how many of them have seen the video, how many have answered the questions and for each of them correct the answers and display the specific details of the assignment.
After some experiments I also tried to create a video-lesson imaging being both a teacher and a student ( of primary school). Personally I find this teaching method very nice and efficient for both parts: on the one hand the teacher can indulge her fantasy creating different and original lessons based on the purpose she’s trying to pursue. On the other hand, the student learns in a different way and at the same time he has fun ( and mainly he keeps his attention high) answering to questions and quiz found in the videos. Teachers view:
