2023-2025 Triennium

Over the period 2023–2025, the educational offer of AppInventory4Edu proposed thematic modules to teachers of all school levels. These modules were designed with a workshop-based approach, allowing for hands-on experimentation with digital tools and products to be used within their own teaching activities.
The modules were designed to be independent of one another, enabling teachers to customize their training pathway according to their subject area or personal interests. Each module included a lesson component (either in person or online) and a phase of independent study and refinement of the products created (with the exception of the module “Designing for EAS”, which included two sessions, the first being preparatory to the second).
Over time, the ways in which the modules were delivered changed in order to better meet the needs expressed by participants, adding further activities alongside the traditional modules.
The project scheduled two teaching periods per year: January–March and September–November.
The training sessions were held in person at the University campuses of Udine, Gorizia, and Pordenone, or online via the Microsoft Teams platform.

Teaching period

  • First teaching period (January–March 2023): the first modules were offered in person at the University campus in Gorizia, and the most popular ones were later repeated at the campuses in Udine and Pordenone.
  • Second teaching period (November 2023): new modules were added, and an experimental phase began to offer them online instead of in person.
  • Third teaching period (January–March 2024): all modules were offered again in online mode, making it possible to reach teachers not only from Friuli Venezia Giulia but from all over Italy. A couple of modules on Artificial Intelligence were also added.
  • Fourth teaching period (September–December 2024): in addition to the online modules, a new type of module called “school meetings” was introduced. Instead of focusing in depth on a few apps, these sessions provided an overview of the most interesting apps for teaching available in the AppInventory catalogue.
  • Fifth teaching period (April–May 2023): this teaching period was entirely dedicated to the EAS methodology (Situated Learning Episodes), with several modules offered, tailored to different school levels, each focusing on a specific aspect of this methodology.
  • Sixth teaching period (September–October 2023): the final teaching period of the three-year cycle saw a revision of the proposed modules in order to better meet participants’ needs, along with the addition of two brand-new modules. During this period, the teacher help desk “Let’s Talk About Apps and Teaching” was also piloted.
