Education: AppInventory4Edu

AppInventory4Edu (AppInventory for Education) is a free ongoing educational initiative directed at all teachers of all levels in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. It includes actions of methodological and didactic innovation through the use of the AppInventory platform and is part of the Regional Program for Digital School in Friuli Venezia Giulia 2021-2025.
Through the use of the AppInventory platform and its contained applications, teachers are guided in computer-based lab activities, both in person and online, to discover new tools for implementing innovative teaching methods.
The project spans over three years (January 2023 - December 2025).

Training offer

The training includes thematic modules, structured as computer lab sessions, allowing the direct experimentation of digital tools and the creation of products to be used within their own teaching activities.
The modules are independent of each other and allow teachers to customize the training course based on their subject of teaching or their interest. They are organized in a single afternoon lab session; the only exception is the module dedicated to EAS (Episodes of Situated Learning) design, which includes two meetings, the first of which is preparatory to the second. The organization of the lab sessions will be structured for each year into:
  • 1 general module on AppInventory, Web, and Open Source;
  • 1 module (consisting of two meetings) of didactic design for EAS (Episodes of Situated Learning), with personalized design based on the disciplines or the school level of the individual participants;
  • a series of modules for learning and direct experimentation with useful tools to support teaching activities and the implementation of active teaching approaches.
Each individual module has a total duration of 4 academic hours of 45 minutes, with the recognition of 5 total hours of training for the necessary work of autonomous study and refinement of the products created.

Duration, period, and registration procedure

The project lasts for three years, from January 2023 to December 2025, and provides for two teaching periods per year: January-March and September-November.
The meetings are held in person at the University campuses of Udine, Gorizia, and Pordenone, or online on the Microsoft Teams platform. Never in mixed mode.
Registration for individual meetings takes place through this platform, after registration, when the academic period calendar is published.
